Understanding Own Response to Body Image Task 1.3 5/7/17





When online, watching TV or listening to the news who is underrepresented and why? When answering this think about day to day life and the people we depend on


You can not see real pleasant teachers who are kind and who teach the students on the news or on TV, it would good to keep up to date with the teachers in most of the schools.



The next group you don't see is the disability group on the TV or on the news any more and its very interesting know about this group.



Some of the most important people what we do not see is the doctors in the media or on TV,  dealing with real people who are either dying and stuff like that.

UNDERSTANDING OWN RESPONSE TO BODY IMAGE 30/6/17 task 1.2

 Identify a group of people that we constantly see online on on TV and talk about what they do do they present a positive image for young people to follow.

One group of people we see all the time online and on TV is Pop stars eg
I think that Beyonce shows a lot of effort by producing videos and pictures and winning grammies, she believes in equality and respect and she has got some good influences in her which is around younger woman such as me. Other people online  include Rihanna and Nicki Minaj they are every where in the media and they dominate the media.

Collect images of women and men identified through the media.


Here are the list of people we see on social media and on TV and all different types of social media, one is Dwayne Johnson Hollywood A list actor, he is normally on the news and on Twitter posting up status's and showing his latest stories and movie releases.


Here is the second  image of a actor named Chris Tucker, he has made 13 movies, he is a Hollywood actor and he was a stand up comedian.


Here is Theresa May and she is a Prime minister of the United Kingdom and she was a leader of the Conservative party since July 2016. 
Kim Kardashian constantly in the media for being a reality star 


         These are people that we see in the media on a regular basis

Understanding Own Response To Body Image Task 1 23/6/17


Positive images

1.what is your fist choice of body image saying to you

To me its positive because of his hat whats got a bull on and i can see they have all got masks on and that you can barley see what they look like, so basically there hiding there face just to be unknown.
I like to be unknown to i can relate to it


2 Do you want to look like the image ?
what i like in this image is what he is wearing and his golden chains on his neck just to make him stand out a little. i don't want people to see my face but i want them to see my bling
 
3 What would you be prepared to do to look like the image ?
Well he is smoking weed and he is doing his personal thing like his own things and the colour of what his got on. I would only be prepared to work hard both legally and illegally

4 Is your current personal image a positive one ?
Yes ? why?
No? why?
Yeah i am happy with my personal image because of what am wearing and the the style i have on by wearing dark colours, so basically i like to wear dark clothing because bright colours make me stand out more so people can stare at you and make me feel uncomfortable.

Using Aural Skills in Music task 4.3 Italian Terms 21/6/17

Task 4.3
Listen again to one of the songs in the tasks above and use three Italian musical terms to show what is happening in he different sections of the song. First state he word then outline the section of the song the term applies to 
 Italian Musical Terms

Bohemian Rhapsody
The first section of the song the lyrics are Mama just killed a man put a gun against his head pulled the trigger now his dead, this part of the song is Adagio. Adagio(Meaning slow)
At the second section the dynamic changes to forte at the part that says Mama Ooh i didn't mean to make you cry. Forte(Meaning loud)
The middle section of the song changes using Staccato and the section is Bismillah no we will not let him go.\
Staccato(Meaning Detached,
short Note or vocal delivery meaning end the word or note quickly.)
These terms help us to understand where the dynamics occur, they play a big part in telling the story and creating the mood and atmosphere.

Using Aural Skills in Music Task 4.2 14/6/17

Task 4.2
Listen to a range of music with contrasting styles from
Opera singing, soul singing, Pop music to Rap and talk about the differences in articulation and the importance of how words or notes are expressed and how this gives meaning to the song

PAVAROTTI
My first song was called Nessun Dorma even though the words are not in english its like someone coming out of a shell slowly and it feels like the tension is building more and more as the song progresses the song feels powerful and meaningful which is very clever cause we we know what he is saying the songs builds up to a very powerful ending all the energy comes from his vocals




THE WEEKEND
The song for this is called Starboy, this song  feelings like you could dance too it and the lyrics are deep which makes the song more powerful the tempo of the lyrics stay the same which makes the lyrics more depressing the beat stays on the same level ,it is not a very melodic vocal and not very dynamic but it seems to work on a pop level





LITTLE UZI

The song is called XO TOUR Llif3 and at the start of the song it sounds depressing lyrically but then you can sing along with  its very catchy and its up beat at the same time the lyrics are very sad and meaningful, the lyric stand out more to people that are suffering with depression because he is using suicidal sounding lyrics even though it is a cool song

Using Aural Skills in Music Task 4.1 3/5/17

Task 4.1
Know about changes of dynamics in a piece of music

From one of the chosen tracks Identify where dynamic changes occur listen for where the song ranges from soft to loud and talk about how the dynamic shift affects the tone and mood of the song

ROCKET MAN ELTON JOHN

This starts off very soft with just piano and vocals and using mainly long notes this makes the song more detailed and interesting, the song feels bigger when the chorus comes and all the instruments start to play this gives you a big pay off like when you win something and it makes you want to sing along in the chorus the notes are still long but with more tension which is enjoyable
The song is in 4/4 time. The song is telling a story about himself and the tune wants you to sing along with it The overall vibe is calm and makes you listen to the words.

Using Aural Skills in Music Task 3.2 3/5/17

Task 3.2
Using the same selection of songs point out where notes have been lengthened or shortened these notes can be vocal or instrumental, talk about how changing the length of notes can impact on an expression or the articulation in a song

BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY
In the section no escape from reality the note on reality was lengthened this give the word more meaning, when the notes are longer it makes it more interesting and intense, this happens in the second verse. The piano section has much shorter notes are more energetic this is a big difference from the verses with longs notes
The different notes lengths in this song make it more interesting they add tension when the notes are short and abrupt this keeps you in suspense then when the notes are long it is a relief and it becomes more gentle, this makes the song more and more interesting and it tells you a good story with lots of information,it all comes together to make a very dramatic song where the notes make it very interesting to listen to ,without different note lengths the song would be very boring and wouldn't work

Using Aural Skills in Music Task 3.1 3/5/17

Task 3.1
Know about changes in rhythm

State where a change in rhythm has taken place
Learners will be given a range of tracks with varying rhythms
Learners will identify where the change has taken place and explain the effect it has had on the son
BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY QUEEN
The first change was at the end of the first guitar solo, and where the tempo went  slow then it changed to a fast tempo this added tension and excitement to the story then in the vocal section there was lots of different rhythms with no real time signature this makes you feel that there is some confusion added, then at the end of the vocal section tempo increases and the rhythm changes and the time signature becomes 4/4 and steady. At the end of the song the tempo slows right down this adds meaning to the story that he is singing
All this movement with rhythm and different styles in the same song makes the song very emotional and interesting because the rhythm keeps changing this keeps you interested and listening to the story.

Using Aural Skills in Music Task 2.2 3/5/17

Task 2.2

Learners to sing a simple song from memory this can be a popular song in the charts or a song written by the learner
Using Logic pro record the evidence and state where it is stored

This is a group discussion e had where we had to explain what would be needed to for a successful recording


This song is called Caught up in a situation and i am singing it with Alicia, the tune is about somebody who has made you caught up in something you can't even deal with and its trapped inside your self and you can not make it fade away. This is a 4-4 beat and it has an uplifting tone to the music.We wrote this song using Logic Pro. 
The song is on my desktop in Using Aural Skills folder.

Learners will be given a simple rhythm to clap from a popular song. Whilst keeping time learners will join in and replicate the simple rhythm to show understanding

USING AURAL SKILLS Task 1 26 /4 17



TASK 1.1
Know about time signature


Listen to a range of music given by your tutor and identify the different time signatures, learners to listen to a range of different genres of music from classical to Hip Hop and point out the difference in time signatures and describe how different time signatures affect the mood and the tone of the music


Michael Jackson- Billy Jean is in 4/4 beat and it’s a uplifting tune, made for dancing makes you want to sing a good pop song  




Future- Mask Off is in 4/4 it is a calm beat, its a dancing beat too



Ne-yo - Miss independent is in 4/4 it is mid tempo and is good for club music



Harry Potter theme music is in 3/4 it is weird and scary type waltz music that works best in film type setting
